What is Occupational Safety Card?
The Occupational Safety Card® is designed to prevent accidents and enhance safety in the workplace. The card certifies that the holder possesses basic knowledge regarding workplace hazards, risk assessment, and the principles of occupational safety. The Occupational Safety Card is particularly beneficial for various professional groups, and obtaining it may be recommended or even mandatory for certain job roles.

Despite this, the occupational safety card is not a statutory requirement; in other words, it is not mentioned in Finnish law. Although the use of the occupational safety card is voluntary, many client companies require their subcontractors' employees to hold one.
The Occupational Safety Card system is administered by the Centre for Occupational Safety (TTK), which also maintains a register of individuals who have completed the course. The Occupational Safety Card must be renewed every five years.

Obtaining or renewing the Occupational Safety Card generally requires completing a seven-hour occupational safety training course, which includes a test.
The training covers the fundamentals of workplace hazards and occupational safety. It can also incorporate industry-specific safety topics. Through us, the course material is available on the Trainify learning app in Finnish, English, and Russian.
